Hello, @@Bakergrl214

I've been eating ice cubes and drinking Water at night to combat hunger

Today I set a timer to know when to eat (still on full liquids). I'll see if it helps my hunger tonight, but so far today has gone well.

I drink broth with GENEPRO in it and it seems to satisfy the late night food cravings. If it is a sweet craving I mix GENEPRO in sugar free pudding.

Hey! Where do you buy your Genepro from -- Amazon?

Currently on Protein shakes but if I can mix it into my food later that'd be cool too. Can't wait till next week when I can have pudding.

Do you think it's the best flavorless Protein powder?

I don't know if you have a costco card but I got this for Christmas and I think the purée phase is when I will probably start using mine

They have it on Amazon if not

We made our first all banana batch tonight, no dairy ice cream like Desserts. All you need is frozen bananas and fruits of choice

Good luck, my surgery is scheduled for Jan 13 and I have horrible snacking habits so I'm looking for anything to help me succeed

I do get it from Amazon about $1.10 a serving (30grams protein) when you buy the 90 serving container. I haven't tried others brands so I can't say how it compares. I tend to find something I like and that works for me and stick to it.

I was going to order my genepro from Amazon but thought I would check out GNC just in case. GNC does carry it and it was a few dollars cheaper.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
