bluey 25 Posted January 4, 2017 My surgery is tomorrow, and I am a ball of nerves. I'm considered low risk, so I'm really hoping everything goes well and there are no complications! I've got to finish packing my hospital bag tonight. I can't believe it's here! How is everyone doing? Oh the absolute same here!!! So nervous, should NOT have googled! Google is no longer my friend!!!! My bag is almost packed - lots of nighties, pj bottoms and all things comfy. Don't think I'll sleep tonight
knickerson 4 Posted January 5, 2017 I am excited to chip off the layers and rediscover the person beneath. I would be lying to say that I wasn't worried as well. Sent from my SM-G935V using the BariatricPal App

bluey 25 Posted January 7, 2017 Hello my darlings! Sorry for the late update! I had my mini bypass surgery Thursday afternoon. I had a bit of a hard time with the anesthetic and felt like I'd been hit by a bus for the first 24 hours. Then when I woke this morning it was as if it had never happened. I felt short of miraculous. I'm having very little pain - basically I just feel like I need to pass wind. A lot of it. (Sorry!) I was in with 2 other ladies who had a similar experience. So I'll say - first 24 hours is not nice but once you're through that you'll be like a new person. There is no feeling of hunger whatsoever so I'll have to teach myself to count nutrients!
