Newlife2017 8 Posted January 2, 2017 Hello, I got all of my approvals for my surgery, just waiting for them to give me a surgery date, I have currently lost 12.5 of my 30 pounds required by my surgeon. I would like to have surgery the week of February 5th, 2017. Any suggestions on how to take off my weight faster before surgery without being hungry? I am excited to get my surgery scheduled and start my new lifestyle! Thanks for your help!

Kimkim 18 Posted January 4, 2017 If you belong to a gym, go sit in the sauna every night for at least 10 mins. Even if you have to walk out for some cool air, go back in and keep your Water with you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Tammy's life 5 Posted January 17, 2017 When you go to your initial consultation does the surgeon give you a diet plan or aide of any kind to help, lose the 10% ?? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
alysia.rush 24 Posted January 18, 2017 Start the liver shrink diet, its usually 1,000 cal diet. High Protein, low carb. You will be hungry, regardless.
cls5186 23 Posted January 19, 2017 For sure recommend the liquid diet, it's required before surgery. Mine is 1,000-calorie high Protein, low fat, carbs, cals, etc. It's extremely difficult (at least it was for me) but this is day 7 of my 10-day liquid diet and i've lost close to 20 pounds since the beginning. It's safe and i'd recommend that if you're trying to lose weight quick, safely.

Newlife2017 8 Posted January 20, 2017 Well, I was using premier also, but something in it was making me break out in a rash so now I am using Quest. It's really good and I mix it with Water and it still tastes great. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

Newlife2017 8 Posted January 20, 2017 Yes. Only drawback is that you have to mix it yourself. I haven't found it in a premixed drink anywhere. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

Thanks in advance Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App I attached the sample pre-op liquid diet i've followed for the past 8 days. I don't have the one my doctor gave me though. I drink Protein shakes that are low in carbs, cals and high in Protein 4 times a day, clear liquid the rest of the day. I did add 1% lowfat cottage cheese because i became weak by day 4.
