c86mc 24 Posted January 2, 2017 I'm doin ok when I eat. No "dumping" or sickness. But the past few days I've been having diarrhea throughout the day. Especially in the morning. Is this in fact dumping? Is it normal? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
James Marusek 5,244 Posted January 2, 2017 Right after surgery I became lactose intolerant. Every time I drank milk or dairy products, it lead to an immediate stomach ache and a trip to the restroom with diarrhea. Therefore I stopped drinking milk. Be forewarned some Protein shakes contain lactose. After about 2 months this condition went away. Your body does not process fats and sugars, so if you consume some of these, it will pass through your stomach and colon and produce diarrhea. After about a year your intestines will figure out something is wrong and learn to process these types of food.
