Allyson724 1 Posted January 2, 2017 I am having some left side tenderness about three fingers left of one of my incisions. This has been my painful spot since surgery but it hasn't gone away. Has anyone had this before? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Has anyone had this before? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I had this after my revision on 12/12/16. This lasted about 6-8 days. It will get better just stay hydrated and try to move around as much as you can. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Mei 32 Posted January 2, 2017 I had my surgery on the 28th and yes, left side is more sore... from the posting I've read, it appears normal. To be on the safe side, call your doctor tomorrow. Are you b wearing your binder? Sent from my SM-N910T using the BariatricPal App
catlady.2012 22 Posted January 2, 2017 @@Allyson, I also had and was told by my surgeon that the incision the excess stomach is pulled through is also tacked down internally to muscle and until stitches dissolve I will feel pulling and pain. But you should call your surgeon's office to make sure of problem. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
Who'sThere 331 Posted January 2, 2017 Our surgical group really stresses that left side pain is to be expected. They say this is the largest incision, whether it be sleeve or RNY (those are the only two surgeries our group does now) and that is does involve the muscle. Also, they said this is where they pass the stapler through. They suggest we wear our binders as long as necessary as the pressure helps relieve some of he pain. I didn't need any pain meds after 24 hours when they took away the PCA pump at the hospital until 2 weeks out. I've had 3 doses now, all for this left side pain. The girls in my group say that one day, it will just be gone. I'm hoping it goes soon! Hope yours goes away soon too!
