show1980 38 Posted December 30, 2016 After a few failed attempts on my own working out, my doctor thinks I'm ready to get in the gym. I do walk everyday and am consistently losing but I think I can do better. I'm considering getting a personal trainer. Is or has anyone used one? Good or bad experience? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I don't have any personal experience with personal trainers, but I know a few friends that got 'bulked-up' with the help of trainers. Just let the person be aware of your exact goals, and that you recently had surgery.
Vinasu 621 Posted December 31, 2016 I use a trainer who works privately, not for a gym, and she is amazing! She had her masters degree in exercise physiology, and she comes to you. She does boot camps for more advanced students, but many of her clients are disabled, geriatric, or obese. When I started working with her, I couldn't do a single sit up. Now, I can do 200. The right trainer is worth her weight in gold. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
