Mimiof3 33 Posted December 30, 2016 Every year I host a NYE party at my house with friends and family, since I'm 9 days out from my gastic sleeve, I'm just not into it this year, can't drink drink or even really eat...feeling blah...
nlmguerrero 50 Posted December 30, 2016 I'm not doing a thing since NYE is so centered around good food and alcohol. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
cinderella8 15 Posted December 30, 2016 Hanging at home. My hubby and I usually go out to an Italian restaurant with 10 other couples and then go back to someone's house to continue the party. This year I just can't sit in the restaurant where everything is food focused. This year I'll spend NYE quietly being thankful for this new way of life...( but still missing the shrimp, Pasta and booze. ) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

hayleyf3706 150 Posted December 30, 2016 My husband and I have invited a few of our closes friends over. We told them there will be Snacks, but not a whole lot. We want the evening to be focused around quality time with friends, not food.< /p>
theantichick 2,204 Posted December 30, 2016 We are burning 2016 in effigy. Fire pit in the backyard unless it rains, then we'll be doing it in the fireplace on a smaller scale. There are a few good things that have happened in 2016 - my VSG being one of them. But overall, the year has been a stinker. My numerology friends say that 2016 is a "9" year, which is one of endings, and 2017 is a "1" year of new beginnings. I hope to heck that's true. Most of my friends have had horrible enough years, or are physically sick, so we're all pretty much just holing up like hobbits and doing an online chat at midnight to send the year off. Most years I'd be completely toasted by midnight, but I'm a lightweight now so one or two hard ciders is probably all the imbibing I'll manage. LOL.

We are going to the ski lodge to snowshoe. How are you getting him in a little black dress? I will be staying home with Mrs. LittleBill and reveling in the quiet. This is something we do every NYE since we became empty nesters. We will probably be in bed by 9:30 PM. We're old.
