I don't know why Kaiser would want you to wait until you have Medicare insurance. I would call them and specifically ask them why they said that. I was told that the whole process from the 12 week class to surgery takes 9-12 months for the average person. I'm assuming since you've had the 12 week class that you could possibly have surgery in 6-9 months. Just a guess. I would definitely call them though.

Doing Kaiser in the Santa Clara, CA which I believe will be surgery in South San Francisco, I have my orientation on the 30th

Each Kaiser region seems to be different which doesn't really make sense. Oregon/Washington seem to be the longest time frame from looking through the most recent posts. Got to do what they require or you don't move on through the process to surgery.
