I follow the not drinking for 30 mins after bc to be honest it hurts if I drink too soon after eating. I'm not sure if that's the reason they told me 30 mins before and after. If I'm eating something spicy I may take a sip or 2 but I rarely drink while eating just bc it does hurt occasionally. My stomach can only hold so much I guess [emoji4]

I thought the no drinking rule was aimed towards the lap band and gastric bypass both that have a smaller pouch that food could slip past. I did not know drinking alone could open the pyloric valve faster to dump food for digestion.
