KWeilbrenner09 88 Posted December 29, 2016 Hi all! I had my revision from lapband to sleeve with duodenal switch On Monday 12/26. I feel the need to cough, but it hurts like hell to do so. Any tips on how to make it easier? Katy W- Louisburg, NC DS scheduled for 12/
heidikat72 935 Posted December 29, 2016 press a pillow firmly against your abdomen while coughing. the pressure helps hold things in place and hopefully it won't hurt as bad.

Djmohr 6,965 Posted December 29, 2016 The only option is to hold a pillow firmly in place.
rargirl 1 Posted January 4, 2017 I agree with the pillow. Be very careful not to cause yourself a hernia (like I did by deciding to clean my hard wood floors on my hands and knees the day I got back from the hospital). Was your surgery open or lap? Mine was open. I have since had the hernia repaired (what a relief)!!! I really hope you don't have to go through that so be careful with yourself.
