wholenewjessica 35 Posted December 28, 2016 im excited, but a little nervous. my question right now for you wonderful people is this.. what is the best and most cost effective clear Liquid Protein option for me to try while on my 7 - 10 day clear liquid post op diet? ive read and re read everything they have given me, and i just think instead of eating Jello and broth and diluted juices that i would rather have something i know is good for my body. i just figured that having the Protein wouldnt hurt anything, but since i am impatient and plan on asking about it in the morning i thought some of you may have some advice and insight for me right now. thanks!!! lisaBme 46 Posted December 28, 2016 My doctor recommended Isopure. Got it at GNC. Needed 80 grams of Protein a day, so 2 bottles every day. Did that for 4 days when I got home from surgery. Started full liquids today.

TeresaGary 7 Posted December 28, 2016 I got mine on Friday.... and I did that Isopure before surgery and found it to be gross.. Since surgery EVERYTHING makes me nauseous .. the thought of drinking that nasty stuff now makes me even more sick. courtney97 3 Posted December 28, 2016 I had my VSG yesterday and so far so good. No bad nausea or pain just sore at incision sites and the continual sipping is a pain but better safe than sorry. Try Core Power Protein shake in chocolate, it is very tasty. The also have vanilla, which I haven't tried yet. Best of luck! You'll do great Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using the BariatricPal App

Wonder WomanNJ 119 Posted December 28, 2016 I think you will find that everyone is different- including your before and after taste-buds. I loved a certain Protein shake before, now I can't stomach it. The good thing is that the liquid diet is only for a week or so, so you'll be ok. BTW I like Jay Robb whey Protein vanilla. I loved a certain Protein shake before, now I can't stomach it. The good thing is that the liquid diet is only for a week or so, so you'll be ok. BTW I like Jay Robb whey Protein vanilla. I agree. Before my operation I thought that Premier Protein shakes were pretty decent. Now they taste like chemicals to me. Blech! My advice is to just buy a sample of every kind. Unfortunately, I loaded up on these shakes, am now stuck with them (I won't drink 'em), and out a pretty penny. nursey402 14 Posted December 30, 2016 Max muscle has pretty good shakes. They have a lot of different flavors and will let you try them all. 30 g of Protein in one shake which is great. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
