bodyslmmn 86 Posted December 26, 2016 How do you weigh your food? Do you have a kitchen scale? Or do you simply eat until full? How many ounces are suggested? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
ssflbelle 829 Posted December 26, 2016 I have a kitchen scale and weigh my meats, about 3 to 4 ounces, and 1 to 3 tablespoons of vegetables is usually my dinner.
Jamieson 40 Posted December 26, 2016 I weigh meat. It should be 3 - 3.5 ounces. My plan says a meal should fit in 1 cup.
OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted December 27, 2016 @@bodyslmmn I use a kitchen scale. I started with 2 ounces and worked my way up to the 4-5 ounce range.
WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted December 27, 2016 It's important to have a scale and weigh and measure everything. Also track all your intake. You can use My Fitness Pal or any one of many others for tracking. YOu'll always know whether you've gotten the right amounts of Protein, et al., and, more important, you'll have a reference to see how you might tweak your food choices if indicated. If you "simply eat until full," it's likely that you will overeat or eat the wrong things. Successful weight loss isn't a guessing game. All the best to you. mylighthouse 782 Posted December 27, 2016 I have a food scale and always weigh my food or use a measuring cup when needed. I am at 6 weeks post op and eating regular foods now. I can only get in around 2.5 ounces of meat or 1/4 cup of yogurt or cottage cheese per meal at this point. Those amounts always fill me up along with about 5 small bites of veggies. triplethreat 257 Posted December 28, 2016 I used a kitchen scale for about 10-12 weeks post op. Now I eat and know when to stop. I'm about six months out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
