Kmccusker127 11 Posted December 26, 2016 Hello. I am three weeks out of surgery and felt the same way as you. I know exactly how you feel. But trust me stick with the basics for the first two weeks then go to puréed and then to mushy foods. Remember your stomach is still healing and if you rush things you make it Gerd. Which is very debilitating and very painful. So again I suggest you go with the path of basics puréed than mushy. What makes you feel as though you can handle butter Beans? What's on your surgeon's prescribed diet for you right now? Have you contacted him or her about your feelings? liquids won't stretch your sleeve but eating something (especially something with skins like beans) can an leave food particles stuck in your unhealed suture line. You don't want to create a possibly hazardous situation with a newly cut stomach, I assume. Head hunger is real and it sucks. Creating a leak or an abscess would suck even more. Stick to your plan. You are worth it.

Every time I felt a burp or toot get stuck, I climbed our house stairs. Worked every time. Take a GasX and then lay in you left side. Pull your knees towards your chest and relax. And don't let the dog snuggle up to your butt. He might pay you back.
theantichick 2,204 Posted December 26, 2016 Don't eat anything you haven't been cleared for. Just keep sipping your fluids and Protein drinks and walking. sent from mobile device
dominyks_mom 54 Posted December 26, 2016 Try other liquids too. Or make your own broths! Pinterest is awesome! As for Water it is hard, I still struggle, however, you can add like Crystal light or lemons for flavor to help. Also you should be able to have Popsicles too. (sugar free of course) Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
Mimiof3 33 Posted December 27, 2016 I was told I can eat anything as long as it didn't have seeds and it was pureed...I'm 5 days post-op and I've had potato Soup and pinto Beans, applesauce, Jello, pudding, Protein Shakes and Protein water...I'm hurting but it doesn't matter what I eat or drink I feel the same way after eating... dominyks_mom 54 Posted December 27, 2016 I felt that way for a while. I was told it was from eating too fast. I was sleeved on 10/21/16. But now as long as I take my time it isn't too bad. I am pretty much on regular food now. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
Suziebear 48 Posted December 27, 2016 Sip slowly, and walk a lot. Walking helps so much. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
