teaqueen 113 Posted December 25, 2016 You go girl! Wishing you a safe surgery and a speedy recovery! I'm 1 year out and having a VSG last January was the best gift I could have ever given myself. My kids are super proud of how I look today...I even shared clothes with my 18 year old daughter for Christmas Eve! Who'd a thunk! Enjoy the journey and know it is truly life changing to just enjoy your family without always thinking about your weight! CherCare 34 Posted December 26, 2016 Your enthusiasm is great! I didn't feel excited or worried. Didn't feel anything. Use this time to learn what you can about post surgery. Right now you don't have the stress, hormones and discomfort fogging your emotions. You can learn some things that will help you when they happen later. For instance, I read plenty of posts talking about gaining weight right after surgery. I had no idea. Well wouldn't you know, I ended up being one of those people. And not just a few pounds...double digits! But I knew that wasn't abnormal, and I haven't let it discourage me even once. That's from being informed. I wish you well. Hope the time flies by for you. WLSResources/ClothingExch 3,444 Posted December 26, 2016 (edited) @@Stephanielp, yup, a better way, but more important, accurate according to your initial note. Knock 'em out. You're in a good place.
