I am on Celebrate multi, Calcium, Iron and B12. They all make my stomach upset. The calcium is way too big and it tastes bad. The b12 is a small meltaway, Iron doesn't taste bad and the multi is so so. They are all fruity flavored and I find that after my surgery 2 months ago, the taste of them is almost unbearable. I haven't been taking them as I should and I know that's bad, but hopefully I can switch to the pill form soon. Also switching to the calcium chews which taste much better.

Okay so I eat the tums candy they have mint and cherry. The Centrum chewable Gummy and there was this B12 and Calcium that dissolve in your mouth but they are hit and miss with the palate so definitely chewable is the way to go. I did disintegrated Vitamin into the pudding and that seemed to do the trick also.

I just ordered a trial of Tespo Vitamins. You might want to give them a try since the vitamins are liquid and the absorption should be higher! I'll let you know how I like it!

It took me a while to get used to taking Vitamins after surgery. I couldn't keep them diwn so I didn't try to force it. As time passed, it got easier and now they are a daily habit. I still hate them, but not because they make me feel sick. Give it some time.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
