tphillips8983 0 Posted December 25, 2016 I am nine days out today. When I am drinking liquids Ive noticed it feels like it's getting stuck at the bottom of my esophagus and in a few seconds it finally goes through and makes a funny gurgling noise. I was thinking it was just my esophagus still swollen maybe. I also had hernia relair. Has anything had this happen? kimberb 323 Posted December 25, 2016 Are you taking tiny sips and drinking slowly? I haven't had my surgery yet. But from what I've learned here and at my classes this is the best way to drink. I'm sure someone who has experience will give you some tips. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using the BariatricPal App

Aggiemae 739 Posted December 25, 2016 When you gulp you swallow more air, that's the bubble you feel.
mrsNilla 304 Posted December 25, 2016 No. I find myself taking gulps. I'm trying sips to see if that helps. Thank you! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App Always sip! The gulps can be too aggressive on your new and smaller stomach. The sips also help you to recognize the full feeling easier. Nilla
