sill21 69 Posted December 24, 2016 I needed three different nausea medications in the hospital in order to not throw up from the pain medication. Ask the nurse for more Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Quaintrelle 79 Posted December 24, 2016 I had horrible nausea as well. They gave me a number of meds and finally gave me a patch. By the end of the second day I felt much better. I liked crushed ice as it went down easily. Hang in there....it gets so much better! I am 9 weeks out and down 47 pounds. I wish you the best.
rbaertsch 34 Posted December 24, 2016 I had my surgery Monday and felt great the next morning. But, by afternoon, oh boy! The nausea was horrible! I actually quit taking the pain meds for the day because the pain was easier to bear than the nausea was. They gave me two different kinds of nausea meds, then convinced me on Wed. to try taking the pain med again. It started to all come together (finally!) yesterday, and today is the first day I haven't been nauseous. Hang in there, girl! Short term pain for long term gain! OutsideMatchInside 10,166 Posted December 24, 2016 The only time I was nauseous was taking the horrible pain meds. No pain meds no nausea.
jaxkratz 1 Posted December 24, 2016 I had surgery on the 22nd as well and I am super nauseous. I actually have thrown up twice and had to quit taking the prescription pain meds. I am now on children's liquid Motrin for the pain and still continue with the anti nausea meds. I am praying this part passes soon because I feel horrible!! My hospital said the Patches were on back order. good luck to you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

MrsCLane 0 Posted December 24, 2016 I had surgery on Monday 19th. I was in the hospital until late Wednesday night because the nausea was sooooo bad. Phenergan, Zofran, and Reglan- that's what they sent me home with. But it was so bad. I vomited several times and was miserable. I started feeling better late Thursday and Friday was a huge improvement. I'm still taking zofran and 1 phenergan at night Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Aggiemae 739 Posted December 24, 2016 Didn't the surgeons prescribe something of nausea? If not call right now and ask for something before the pharmacy closes for Christmas. I was given a 90 day RX for both nausea and to reduce stomach acid.
