There is a Splenda version of brown sugar. That would be a good alternative per my plan.

I was always wondering the same thing because they are very specific when they say no white sugar, no white flour. If they say no white sugar, it seems like brown sugar would be ok. lol I never tried it but.... thought about it! lol
