rkdotson59 1 Posted December 23, 2016 Sounds crazy, I know. But had sleeve on 12/21/16. This morning woke up with both forearms from midway between elbow to top of hand aching. Almost like cramping. Otherwise fine. I had an IV only in left hand but nothing else out of the ordinary. Has anyone else experienced this? Montana Gal 448 Posted December 23, 2016 It's possible you are experiencing some warning signs of dehydration. Keep an eye on it and stay as hydrated as possible.

busybeebug 415 Posted December 23, 2016 You could have been clenching your fists too hard when you were sleeping . You might need potassium boost or sodium could drop ( I get that some times). If you are allowed, drink some V8 or something like that. Or it could just be an ordinary ache or pain. You might just be hyper aware of your body or anxious over anything going awry. Watch and see. Obviously if it gets unbearable or consistent call you Dr. Congrats on the surgery! Good luck
rkdotson59 1 Posted December 23, 2016 Thank you. I am supposed to avoid Tomato based products. But surprisingly milk has a fair amount of potassium. Will try that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Kumbaice 44 Posted December 23, 2016 It could be the way they positioned you during surgery . And strapped your arms down. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
rkdotson59 1 Posted December 23, 2016 I hadn't thought of that. After settling down a bit and thinking about it. The pain gets worse with movement or cold. So I'm thinking muscular. The only med I'm taking that's new was the enoxiparin (Sp?) the blood thinner. From what I read not a side effect. rkdotson59 1 Posted December 26, 2016 I took some Calm Magnesium and small dose over the counter potassium. The pain and cramping resolved in just 2-3 hours. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
