I of course have many questions and would like for February Sleevers to join together for this adventure and life changing decisions we have made to better our health and lives. I think it would be awesome to find other February Sleevers to share our experiences good and bad.

I am scheduled feb 8, 2017

Well here we all are at the beginning of a New Year and a new life. I keep reading all the materials I can but so glad to have other February
Sleevers on board with their knowledge (which is power) and questions we all have. My last nutrition appointment is Jan 16th...I have completed all the other insurance requirements Right now I am looking to find some good liquid "Potions" (I hate the Protein powders that I must learn to love). Thanks to everyone of you - and let's do this together.

Got my surgery date!! February 4th! YAY!! Going from Band to Sleeve. I am so excited. I have also been shaping up my eating and drinking more Water and I am down 4 pounds in 4 days. Probably all the toxins built up in my body. I still can't eat most the healthy foods I should due to band issues, but I have been doing lots of Protein Shakes. Good luck to everyone and can't wait to see how you all progress!

My paperwork is being submitted now. Should be ready to be scheduled real soon. I am hoping for the first week of Feb. Everyone keeps asking if I am nervous but I am not. I am just so excited that it's almost here. Is that weird?

Well, after looking deep into the internet and finding really awful things about the surgeon I chose, I'm not going to MX in Feb. I've found some other MX surgeons, but my husband is not having it. So we're looking into some self pay options in the US. I've found a surgeon that is doing VSG for $7800, in FL. I've resuested info.

Keep me in prayer. I'm praying for all of you <3

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
