crayak 0 Posted December 22, 2016 Hi. I'm in the soft foods stage (everything has to be mush) currently. I just had a meeting with my surgeon and he said I have to be standing when drinking/eating. I find this really difficult because i have to be eating for 30 minutes, then drinking for 2 hours, then eating again. So I have basically no time to just sit down. Does anyone else have to do this? He also told me to ignore when eating becomes painful and just keep eating. I'm currently eating just 2-3 spoons of whatever I'm eating, but he told me I have to eat a lot more, even though it really hurts. Does anyone else have to do this as well?? I was also told I have to be speed-walking 20 mins every day, going up by 5 minutes each week, and by the 5th/6th week I should be doing 3km a day in 50 minutes?? That honestly doesn't sound possible to me at all, even before surgery, and I'm really stressed about it. I don't mind walking I just... don't think I can walk that far/that fast? Thanks for any answers!!
Carrie1122 139 Posted December 22, 2016 Maybe this will help you. I got my hands slapped for not eat enough and this seemed to help because it hurt. I take 1 bite every two mins. 4 bites I am full and i just eat Beans because it doesn't hurt. I use my fit bit and do 10,000+ steps a day in my house. Carrie1122 139 Posted December 22, 2016 I wasn't told to do that. But however I do when I eat because if I don't it just sits and I get the foams. I feel better walking and eating. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
