rumpid 0 Posted September 18, 2007 Hello, I've been continuing my Quest looking for a doctor on the east coast. Has anyone ever been to Dr. Geiss and if so, how was it? Any comments are very much appreciated! Thanks!
Candle 11 Posted September 26, 2007 I was banded by Dr Geiss on 8/27/07. He's a great surgeon with an excellent reputation! More importantly, I love love love his support staff. (they're the ones we really see for most of the follow up anyway) My surgery was a breeze and I'm progressing nicely. I haven't been yet but they have support groups monthly that the nutritionist and shrink both attend. (you'll have to see both before surgery) Good luck! Cheech113 0 Posted October 2, 2007 Hi, Just been banded by Dr Geiss on 9/26/07, and I gotta say what a great experience I had. And NSLIJ Syosset is one sweet hospital. This was my first surgery ever, and I was totally amazed with how smooth it went. I was banded in the am, and by 10pm I was doing laps around the ward. Left the next day and although I'm not back to work just yet, I feel almost 100%. I'm on a 2 week liquid diet, and admit that I'm having gas issues and the 'squirts', but think that's due to the dairy aspect of the diet. Now mixing shakes with Water. Took out my boat for a spin today (5 days post op) and had a ball! Good luck! Dr Geiss rocks
