I had mine 12/19! Some pain and nausea still. I think it's gas pain. I'm getting my fluids in, but have to be very careful about the size of my sips and waiting in between sips. Absolutely no hunger. I'm kind of nervous about eating again. The liquid diet feels like a nice safe space for now.

Yea I tried to sleep last night I went from couch to bed back to couch to just up pacing to get the gas to go away. I just left the store because the Protein drink I got was HORRIBLE so o opted for muscle milk hopefully that's better. But the walk around the store left me tired think to much walking. Laying down now to rest and sip.

It's all worth it in the end. I'm only two days post op and I am a sissy when it comes to pain but you've got to push through the pain. Me and 2 others had the surgery on Tuesday by the same doctor. I got to go home yesterday because I was up and walking and do things for myself. The other ladies did not want to get up so they had to stay another day. I'm not going to lie it is painful but not unbearable! We can all do this people!

You're a trooper, girl! I had a hard time on days two and three. Vomiting and dizzy. It was rough. Gets better every day though. Tomorrow, I'm going to the gym to walk. Too cold outside!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
