Yes I'm one week post op as well and I couldn't sleep for more than 3-4 hours at a time. I still have pain getting up and down and in/out of bed. I just get up super slowly and use my legs instead of any tummy muscles. Still can't sleep on my side either. Every day it gets slightly better but I'm guessing this is normal because we are still healing.

Hope this helps :-)

Warning: I am bad at describing things.

I got out of bed by rolling onto my side, grabbing my leg that was on top and using it as a weight to pull myself up. The other arm can be used to help push yourself up.

I hope this made some sense because getting out of bed was the worst pain.

I slept on a recliner in the living room for a couple of weeks cuz I am not one who can sleep on their back in bed, but in a recliner it is easier not to want to try and sleep on your side or tummy.
