Very minor annoyance

I'm getting surgery at the end of January. I need new jeans and clothes so bad but find myself not buying anything because I know I'm going to lose weight soon and don't want to waste my money!!!

Check your surgeons office. Mine has a closet, tons of different clothes, as you drop the weight or sometimes before. I plan on donating clothes to it once the I grow down and out of the clothes I currently have. My surgical hospital also have an entire office of clothes!

Leggings saved my budget during the weight loss. Clearance racks and thrift stores. Also old navy when they have their $12 jeans sale.

It's a strange feeling, huh? I'm having surgery in February and running into the same predicament. I'm just soldiering through it right now. When weightloss begins and until my goal weight, I'll shop at the thrift stores. Way to go!

Yeah I've got one pair of jeans I'm recycling until my surgery. Leggings are great. Thank goodness for Lularoe lol.

Yes do not spend money on clothes! Since July I have gone from a size 22 to 12!!! It feels amazing but work clothes are a real problem. It seems like I drop a size a month right now. I am so grateful and happy about it but I am constantly buying new work clothes, pants especially.

Lularoe - they have a size "TC" - tall and curvy. Fits size 12-24. They really do adjust with your body, so they've been great for me.

Also, the Old Navy jeans sale. When you can get them for 12 or 15 bucks, I buy 2 pair in my next size. Thrift stores are great, but for 12 bucks I'd rather save my time.

Tops are great at the Thrift store, and I stocked up with some stuff when Old Navy was 50% off. Camisole and such that are super tight now but will last.

I have the same problem! I'm getting surgery in about a month and have been in need of pants for a while. I went to try a cheap pair a few weeks ago that were on sale then got upset w/ how I looked I didn't get them. I So can't wait to be on the other side of this surgery.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
