lulabelle2509 0 Posted December 22, 2016 Hi all! I'm getting sleeved tomorrow and I'm nervous. My rheumatologist, primary care doctor, and surgeon are all on board with me having the sleeve done. I'm nervous that I'm going to go into a lupus flare or have complications from it. Does anyone here have an autoimmune disease and also had the sleeve done that would like to share their story?? Jobey 177 Posted December 22, 2016 I have Lupus and was sleeved about 7 months ago. I was only diagnosed at the beginning of this year. theantichick 2,204 Posted December 26, 2016 I have RA/PsA. I had to go off my meds for surgery and had a slight flare after surgery but my inflammatory markers are slightly down now. And less excess weight makes my joints hurt less. augustgirl 58 Posted December 26, 2016 I have SLE lupus, am 4 weeks out from sleeve. No issues or flares as of yet.
