Tdot_VSG_Diva 3 Posted December 21, 2016 Have they offered any suggestions? Or offered any support in anyway? It seems odd to me that they would tell you to lose 10 pounds per month on your own. If it was that easy wouldn't you have done it on your own this whole time?!?? Where are you located and where are you having the surgery done? I'm in Toronto, and when the time comes, I have been made aware that I will have to go on a VLCD that consists of 3 wks of Protein shakes (4 shakes daily) that are supplied by the hospital at a cost of roughly $80wkly. hayleyf3706 150 Posted December 21, 2016 @@Kira82 Hello fellow Texan! I live in the mid-cities! I, too, had to lose 50lbs before surgery. My surgery is Friday and I just hit that goal yesterday! I started in August, so it took roughly 4 months to do this. The last 15 have been while I'm on the liquid diet. The diet my surgeon put me on before this was as follows: Breakfast and lunch: Protein shakes. HIGH Protein, LOW calories and sugar. Premier Protein is amazing. Dinner: One small meal. 4oz LEAN protein. 1-2c veggies. TINY amount of carbs. Drink: Water Lots of it. Can flavor with zero calorie flavoring. Hope this helps!
