patrick_920 2 Posted December 20, 2016 Hello everyone, I've had a week of good news but I am worried something might bring me down to earth. This week I got my approval letter for VSG on January 9th... My wife and I are going to our pre-surgery class on Wednesday... But...now I am worried that I have developed a hernia to left of my navel. The last few years it's looked like the left of it was pushing in a bit but never any weird feelings or pain. Sunday morning I woke up and it feels like a golfball that shifts to left if move weird. Can this be something that jeopardizes my timeline? I am freaking out that something like this could happen so fast and so close to my surgery date. Has anyone else experienced something like this. Thanks, Patrick Sent from my LGUS990 using the BariatricPal App
Jamieson 40 Posted December 20, 2016 A hernia could be fixed at the same time as your bariatric surgery.
Autumn Fury 67 Posted December 20, 2016 I had a hernia repaired and my gallbladder removed at the same time they did my VSG. Talk to your surgeon. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
