Well it will take several weeks for the staple line in your stomach to heal so it is probably just normal. Some people do better with cold drinks, others with room temperature or warm drinks. Just be sure to drink very slowly.

Same happens to me. I thought it was just gas coming up or I'm drinking too fast. Which usually I'm not. Or I ate too much and I'm barely eating/drinking. Im 6 days post

I have no idea. When I was in the hospital. They told me the pain in my chest was the gas coming up. Today, a week later I'm finally passing gas (tmi) and I pooped after almost two weeks. It was hard but thank goodness!

I too was having the pain in my stomach when I would drink. I asked the dr. And he said I was either drinking too much or too fast. So I have slowed down considerably, and it seems to be better. I am 5 days out!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
