Day 3. I'm down 11 lbs. Any of your "support" people tell you see you can do it on your own you don't need surgery. ????

I had someone suggest that if I just continue the pre-op diet I wouldn't need surgery. I was very quick to point out that this liquid only diet is not sustainable, at least for the amount of time it would take to lose more than 100 pounds.

people say all the time you can do it without surgery. Well, I tried for 50 years. Over and over again. The weight just came back on. The hard way didn't work for me.

Yup, same question and answered the same. It's great now, but we'll be talking again soon about the 15 pounds I mysteriously gained back. My set point needs to change, and GBS is the only way for me.

I've heard it too but no way I could do this liquid diet for a day more than 30 days. Especially during the holidays.

That's kind of a mean thing to say...that you could do it on your own. Yeah, I did it on my own so many times I lost count, only to gain it back plus more. I am not like some other people, I needed the surgery.

Tell them loosing it is easy. Keeping it off is another story. They will never understand the struggle!
