MommyB23 4 Posted December 17, 2016 Day 3. I'm down 11 lbs. Any of your "support" people tell you see you can do it on your own you don't need surgery. ????
Purple lady 15 Posted December 17, 2016 I had someone suggest that if I just continue the pre-op diet I wouldn't need surgery. I was very quick to point out that this liquid only diet is not sustainable, at least for the amount of time it would take to lose more than 100 pounds. catwoman7 11,220 Posted December 17, 2016 people say all the time you can do it without surgery. Well, I tried for 50 years. Over and over again. The weight just came back on. The hard way didn't work for me.
aftermath 13 Posted December 17, 2016 Yup, same question and answered the same. It's great now, but we'll be talking again soon about the 15 pounds I mysteriously gained back. My set point needs to change, and GBS is the only way for me. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
alijo76 4 Posted December 17, 2016 I've heard it too but no way I could do this liquid diet for a day more than 30 days. Especially during the holidays. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
MrsPenguin 103 Posted December 18, 2016 That's kind of a mean thing to say...that you could do it on your own. Yeah, I did it on my own so many times I lost count, only to gain it back plus more. I am not like some other people, I needed the surgery. Sent from my SM-N910G using the BariatricPal App
obxshell89 33 Posted December 22, 2016 Tell them loosing it is easy. Keeping it off is another story. They will never understand the struggle! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
