justabitunique 29 Posted December 17, 2016 Sorry if this is tmi. I'm 4 days post op. I had a bowel movement the morning of the surgery, but nothing since. I have had 2 moments where I felt like I needed to go, but it was just gas that was difficult to pass. How long did it take you guys to have your first bowel movement after surgery ? Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App No it's not making it difficult when I walk anymore but it did for the first couple of days. Listen don't let it scare you that some people are already feeling normal and we still have pain. Everyone heals differently and plus I just think it takes longer for the incisions to heal on a higher bmi person because we have extra fat pulling on our incisions all the time causing them to be more painful. So keep your head up, take your pain medicine and know that this will get better.
