Can you guys share your typical eating scheduled? I'm struggling to get in sync with one and then find myself too hungry and eat too fast. Thanks

Pre-op or post-op, the schedule I observe has been pretty much the same. Breakfast shortly after I get vertical in the morning, a snack halfway through the morning, lunch at or a little after noon, another snack mid afternoon, and then dinner. Depending on how early dinnertime arrives, there will be one small snack in the evening.

Pre-op I had a calorie goal, so I did my best to distribute those calories across the schedule as evenly as possible. Post op, it is more about Protein goals. Calories aren't as important, or as many.

When I was in weight loss mode, my typical schedule was Breakfast - 7 AM, lunch - 1 PM, dinner 7 PM. If I got hungry between meals, I had a Protein Shake.< /p>

During meals, I used an app on my phone (I used Eat Slower) to make sure I didn't eat too fast. I also weighed or measured my food beforehand to make sure I didn't eat too much.

You can eat a little every few hours, and drink Water in between. That is working for me right now.

What app did you use to slow your eating down?

Hey thanks for the help on the app. Eating slow is my biggest struggle. I am ALWAYS on the go and it is difficult to stop and focus on eating.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
