Hi! just a little note to tell everyone good luck and don't feel you have to lose your wieght over night because you will not with the band, but that's the reason that you had the band or are getting the band, losing slower will help you keep it off in the long run!!!! I can tell you I would have loved to lost all of my wieght by now but it's taking time, but that's ok!

I had my band Sept.4,2003 and am down 91 pound's:whoo: I was a 100 pounds down but I am going in for a fill tomarrow Yeaaa!!! man do I need one I can just about eat any thing! :hungry: bad bad bad!!! But if i could control it I would not have had the band put on. I have gained 9 pound's in the last 6 months and I am so mad at my self:angry but I will get it back off real soon.

If I don't lose another pound I will still be greatful I had this done. wow what 100 pounds off could make in someones life, I can do almost any thing now, sit in a booth when we go out to dinner, go to the movies and sit in those small chair's I forgot how much I liked going to the movies, walk up and down steps ....ect.a lot of thing's. Thank you lap band for giving me back my life... I hope every one out there has as my happyniess in lap band as I have had in mine. Good luck to all of you!:clap2: Remember :Banane20: losing slower is better for you not as much sagging skin better health....ect. Happy lossing!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
