Lenamarie301 43 Posted December 15, 2016 So today was my last weigh in. My consultation I weighed 250, 2nd appointment I went down to 246, 3rd appointment no gains no losses, 4th appointment went down to 242..... and the last appointment today I weighed 247. I have aetna and I am terrified about that gain that it could keep.me from getting approved. is there anyone out there who went through something similar that could offer some advise? Thanks in advance Sent from my SM-G928V using the BariatricPal App

mochamommy727 36 Posted December 18, 2016 On my third diet visit, I gained about 4 pounds and totally freaked out, worried that it would affect my final approval. The nurse told me that the 6 months are to discuss and evaluate my eating habits and not focus so much on losing weight. Talk about relief! Of course I'll eventually have to get approved by my insurance company (Anthem BCBS), but it seems like my surgeon's office processes so many of these bariatric requests every year that they have to know what they're talking about. I have to see the surgeon next Tuesday and then they turn in my paper work so I am keeping my fingers crossed.
