ArtC1209 0 Posted December 15, 2016 Hi, all! The other recovery threads seem to concentrate on pain levels, hunger, and eating habits, and I got some useful info from them. But my main concern is how long after the conversion I can resume exercising, to which I've finally gotten hooked on / formed a good habit with. I'm seriously afraid that too long a time not walking or going to the gym for weights and machines is going to seriously affect both how I feel and my general fitness level. So -- what's your experience?
HuneComz 103 Posted December 15, 2016 I was told I can walk right away, but no exercise or working out until 6 weeks post-op.
LittleBill 2,231 Posted December 15, 2016 I thought this was going to be a religious thread at first. I was up walking very early in the morning the day after a late afternoon surgery, and commenced to walk a little more each day. Serious exercise waited on the approval from the medical people. Not only are they supposed to be the ones most familiar with your general situation, they will likely be the ones sewing you back together if you spring a leak.
