So how long does it to heal?

So not the superficial wounds... The actual organ : ) I have plans on joining the gym and I need to know if it's safe to workout using the ab chair and the one for your back no worries pictures below.

Hmmm... the stomach itself isn't involved in abdominal exercises. So the staple line isn't an issue. What is an issue is that the stomach is pulled out through the abdominal muscles. So there's a small incision through the abdominal wall, mine is a couple inches above and to the right of my bellybutton. That needs to completely heal before doing intense abdominal exercises. I was cleared for light weights and aerobics at a month, and I think crunches at 2 months. But your surgeon will of course be the final word.

Ask your surgeon to be sure, but I was cleared for more strenuous exercise at 8 weeks.
