My surgeon gave me something for nausea when I left the hospital. Good thing too.

There is a 6-8 week window of misery for some sleeve patients with nausea..

My nausea is with everything. I do have medication for it but it seems it doesn't help. I haven't started started shakes yet I'm still on Clear liquids.

It does stop, I had it for nearly 7 weeks and then one day it just stopped. Now everything has settled down and am feeling really better.

My doctor has given me a prescription for anti-nausea drugs for before and after the surgery, but I was wondering if this would be enough to stop any vomiting. From this...I'm guessing not necessarily My sleeve is scheduled for January 17, 2017. I have some time to fret over this. So I got that going for me.

I generally get a patch behind my ear but that didn't happen prior to surgery. They gave me meds for nausea in the hospital and after I left, but it didn't stop the dry heaves. With having no liquids in my stomach it was the worst ever as it caused much pain to my main incision.

My doctor gave me a presciption for a single pill called Emend. I am to take it 3 hours before surgery to help with nausea.

Has anyone else taken this and did it work? I'm having my sleeve done outpatient so I'm not sure if the drugs given are different for outpatient vs in- hospital.

I'm nauseous too. Is is even safe for us to vomit? I just feel like that would mess something up
