NewAdventure2016 131 Posted December 14, 2016 I am about 10-15 pounds from my goal and have no clue how to stop the weight loss once I get there. Never thought I'd "hear" myself utter those words!! The obvious answer is to eat more but 1) the restriction still keeps me from doing that and 2) most of the time when I eat more, I see my biggest losses. I'm not complaining, just want to prepare for this change both mentally as well as preparing for any food changes. Thoughts welcome! highfunctioningfatman 2,675 Posted December 14, 2016 I'm not there so don't quote me but due to restriction I was getting too little calories in. I had 2 options, eat more or higher calories. I chose both. I started eating bacon or sausage for Breakfast and added in an afternoon snack. My snack is usually cottage cheese and sugar-free jam. The higher calories first thing in the morning also gave me an energy boost.
Vinasu 621 Posted December 14, 2016 I was told to multiply my weight by 11 and use that as a base rate for maintenance calories. Adjust up or down as needed. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App

DisneyMom2El 120 Posted December 18, 2016 I am still pre-op (17 days to go), but my doctor did discuss this with me a little bit. One of the things he said we might try if I get to that point is drinking with meals. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
