newbirth1230 23 Posted December 14, 2016 I think I will refuse I don't have $100 to cough up. I wonder what they will say? Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App
Frenchie1977 262 Posted December 14, 2016 They can refuse you as a patient, doctors are very strict about pre-op diets and Protein Shakes are expensive, you will likely spend that on a two week supply anyways of something else so I wouldn't refuse, especially if are past the hoops and to the pre- op diet phase. genn 460 Posted December 14, 2016 That's what I spent on mine. And the shakes U will need after as well for a few months and they r alittle pricey. I know some insurance will cover them. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App I don't think they can make you buy them when there are so many high Protein options available for a fraction of that price! The thing that I also don't like is the fact its powder form so I have to mix them. That is so inconvenient!! You have lots more control of the texture. You them with raw juice and ice instead of milk and control the sweetness. And best of all you have the option of unflavored powder that you can mix with Soup, yogurt and cottage cottage cheese to boost the Protein without changing the taste. Di_ 34 Posted December 14, 2016 You can if your doctor allows. On preop I was allowed one serve of fruit a day. I preferred to eat it as a snack rather than blending with Protein Shake.< /p>
