mandaberries 35 Posted December 13, 2016 I had my rny on Saturday December 10th. I came home yesterday. Thankfully my surgery went very well, so grateful for that. However--for anyone who says this is the "easy way out" can for lack of a better saying "kiss my butt"! Haha. It's pretty painful, and the amount of gas that you have to get out from being filled with it is extreme. Everyday the pain does ease up though. I'm trying to get all my liquids in because I'm not hungry at all. Lots of rest and lots of support around you will get you through. Thoughts and prayers for everyone who has their procedure coming up. Xoxo. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Djmohr 6,965 Posted December 13, 2016 Congratulation and welcome home! The discomfort will get a little better everyday and before you know it things will become normal for you. Sip like crazy, it is the dehydration that always makes us ill after getting home.
Joules007 26 Posted December 15, 2016 Glad your doing well Mandaberries. I had my bypass on the 13th December & came home last night. I know what you mean about the gas when will it end? I'm getting most of my required liquids in, mainly with diluted Protein drinks but with a struggle. How long does it take for you consume one drink?
