Djmohr 6,965 Posted December 13, 2016 I was not allowed bread/toast of any kind until i was about 8 weeks post op and then you can have it but they suggested I didnt because toast is pretty much empty calories. Turned out, my stomach did not tolerate toast until i was about 5 months post op and even then it had to be toasted really well. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
NWJill 119 Posted December 13, 2016 My nutritionist said that you can actually have toast sooner than most people would expect because toasting the bread actually makes it easier to digest. My main concern would be, would that fill you up so that you don't get the level of Protein or other nutrients that you need.
