WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted September 23, 2007 Some may argue with me, but this works for me. I have a digital scale. I weigh first thing in the morning (naked after a good pee and picking all the belly button lint out). I mark down the pounds and tenths. Every day. I can read my body like a BOOK now. For instance. I had a few glasses of wine last night. It won't show up today, but probably tomorrow I will see a pound come back on. It will hang for about 48 hours and then drop. I can calculate my plateaus and see exactly how they work, when they come on, how long they last. I can put my weight up next to my caloric intake (I log ALL my foods) and see exactly what causes what. No questions, no mystery. When I go to the doctor's his scale ALWAYS weigh about 3 pounds more than mine, so I don't get freaked out and I just accept it and expect it. HA! I have to laugh, I could have written this post! Well, not the belly button lint part. However sometimes when I'm not losing fast enough I do count the band as 2 oz.
brandda 0 Posted September 23, 2007 My sons and I watched "Dodgeball" last night and there is a line in there where the evil gym manager tells one of his flunkies to add three pounds to the scales in the women's locker room before he goes home. I thought it was hilarious and it made me think of this post. Obviously whichever scale you use, use the same one all the time.
