@@LipstickLady That's what Beans are for. :D And if Mrs. LittleBill complains about the after effects of Beans, I just say, "It's pheromones, baby, pheromones!" That usually doesn't work, but it doesn't stop me from trying.

What is the 30 minute rule you broke? This is new to me

Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

The people in my program have been real big on no liquids 30 minutes before or after eating. The rationale is that the liquid will wash the food down into your intestine before it is digested properly, and cause dumping. This seems to be a holdover from RNY practice, and a number of people here contend this is not an issue for sleeves. I am still working on that, but I did push the limit with no negative consequences.
Oooooooh yes I tecall that now. It's in my book too from doc but I dot truly drink I sip everything and sip morning to night due to nausea so it didn't register what you were talking about. Thanks and keep sharing your stories!!!

For some reason I read this entire post with a cowboy dialect. That sounds like a great party and I agree with others you'll live.

I can do a cowboy dialect if I want to. Some of my local friends complain about reading the things I write and then hearing my voice in their heads as they read. It is especially bad if it is a pun that I have written. One friend really complains about her husband doing his "Bill voice". :P

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
