Quaintrelle 79 Posted December 10, 2016 I need some help with excercise! I am eight weeks out and down 46 pounds. My clothes are sliding right off- it's great! I am on my feet most of the day and try for 10K steps a day. My problem is my stomach is weak. In the past five years I have had a number of health issues, many requiring surgery ( total abdominal hysterectomy, breast cancer, chemo port surgeries, lab band in/lap band out, large incisional hernia repair, and now "my sleeve.") What have you veterans done to strengthen your stomach muscles? I need to start gently...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

FrankyG 1,450 Posted December 11, 2016 I LOVE yoga. It's going to work all over, but many poses work your core (especially some in the sun salutation) and it's easy to learn. It will help build balance and basic muscle tone too. I found classes for free at my local library, but there are so many yoga places that allow drop-ins that you're bound to find something reasonable in your area. Look for beginner classes and go try some out.
