serenity 1 Posted September 16, 2007 I think so. Better safe than sorry. Call your surgeon and let him know you are heading in.
zuchinno 4 Posted September 17, 2007 Yea, my doc told me to start "testing' also, he had me on soft foods like eggs until the 4 week mark. 2 weeks liquids, and then for weeks 3 and 4 start integrating soft foods one at a time. You're proabbly just not ready yet.
Daisalana 33 Posted September 17, 2007 that does seem early for meats and tomatos! Every doctor is different, but you should definitely do liquids for a couple days.. if you were vomiting blood, you've certainly upset something and it needs to rest.. and heal. TheGh0st 9 Posted September 17, 2007 I am SO HAPPY it all turned out well. I (we) weren't trying to scare you but it is always the best thing to contact your doc whenever there is blood, especially so soon after surgery. Take care, baby your band and yourself for a while and be carefull to chew even more carefully when the doc gives you the go ahead for more solid foods. I would shoot for chewing anything until it is the consistency of runny mash potatoes before swallowing it. Even months down the road that is the best way I've found to eat in my band journey. TheGh0st 9 Posted September 17, 2007 SlimFast - May I ask which one you are drinking? I love the Low Carb version. Not all stores carry it. Walgreens does but CVS doesn't. But it has 20g of Protein to 6g or carb and 4g of those are Fiber and can be subtracted. I have it practically everyday for Breakfast. First Fill - I absolutely hate needles and am afraid will my first fill did hurt. But since then that first one it hasn't hurt again. There have been fills where he was done before I even knew he had started, and my doc doesn't even use a numbing agent like some. He likes to laugh at me though because I tend to bite a knuckle while he fills me to give me something to focus on, just on the chance it hurts again. Good luck! Try not to worry about your fill. Bite your knuckle if you have to (it really helps)
