TheGh0st 9 Posted September 16, 2007 I hope you have called your doc's on call pager service at a minimum by now. Please update us when you get a chance. Did you go to the ER? Are you alright?

neveragain 9 Posted September 16, 2007 no i havent called anyone.. i havent went to the ER im scared... Ok, let me break this down for you as simply as possible. Vomit + Blood = Bad = Necessary hospital visit.
tlambright1986 0 Posted September 16, 2007 ok i feel like im ok..no pain...im going to wait it out right now... just for a little while..
TheGh0st 9 Posted September 16, 2007 I agree - But would add you should call your band doc's office on the way. They should have a 24 hour pager service to get hold of someone and it is important to let them know you are headed to the ER so they can assist the ER docs in any way necessary. please, Please PLEASE!!! Go to the hospital. Hopefully it isn't anything serious but the longer you wait the greater the chance you could be doing yourself more harm than good. I'm not trying to scare you more but just GO!!! new L&D RN 0 Posted September 16, 2007 I am a registered nurse....you definately need to call your physician IMMEDIATLY...do not wait it out!!!! If you cannot get a hold of your doctor...GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM!!!!
TheGh0st 9 Posted September 16, 2007 If you refuse to go. At least call the band doc's service. Let them know what happened and let them decide if they want to see you on Sunday or if you can wait till next week. If you don't call I'm tempted to call my band doc for you. The band has very few complications and very few that are serious but any symptom like vomiting blood so soon after surger is very SERIOUS. I'm worried for you. Understand this is all being said by someone who won't normally go to the doc unless a drug there under extreme duress.
jfran 0 Posted September 16, 2007 CALL your band doc and then go to the ER. Better safe than sorry.

kacee 3 Posted September 16, 2007 You said you ate some food that disagreed with you. What exactly did you eat? At two weeks out I imagine at the most you are on mushies or "soft food" at this point. I would think you'd not be eating anything solid at this point. What food was it?
zuchinno 4 Posted September 16, 2007 What were you eating? It had better have been Soup b/c you're not supposed to be eating solids yet and it sounds like you ripped the stitches with your retching.
