justme0076 0 Posted December 8, 2016 Ok I am feeling dumb. Do I need to meet the whole deductible for the year in order for them to cover my surgery? Will I be responsible to pay the first 11,000 which is my yearly deductible,or will I just need to cover my regular copays? Who'sThere 331 Posted December 8, 2016 I would think you will have to pay your deductible. Your surgeon's office should be able to help you. Also, I found my insurance company very knowledgeable and helpful as well. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
WGH3IWDT 93 Posted December 8, 2016 I have BCBS Fed Basic and all I had to pay was for the different Co-Payments, and the 30% for certain things that were used at the hospital. I have not received that bill yet, but I've already paid all my co-paymemts. I'm not aware about it having a deductible. Call BCBS to get clarification.
