julie74601 27 Posted December 8, 2016 I just read my doctor is being sued. I am 1 week out from my surgery. She has done many surgeries with no issues and is at an approved Bariatric practice. If she has a lot of suits, then, like Babbs said, maybe be concerned, but it is very difficult to entirely avoid being sued as a doctor, especially as a surgeon. Doctors are also easy targets because their insurance almost always settles claims out of court, which keeps the claim usually sealed, but also works out to people knowing they can make a few $ in civil court without a whole lot of actual basis for the claim. Hazel_eyez 173 Posted December 8, 2016 Nope, my surgeon has a supposed lawsuit by someone who is on here. But I have met way too many people including some of his staff that had him do their surgery. He and his partner did mine and I had no problems. I felt good enough to go back to work by day 4. So no, if it isn't many I wouldn't worry. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
