DebiW 45 Posted December 6, 2016 Does anyone have any suggestions for me with my problem? I am 4 weeks post-op and am able to eat all of the foods that I am allowed to have. However, it hurts my pouch whenever Water or almost any liquid hits it. I have tried plain water, crystal light, warm Decaf tea, etc... and the only liquid I have tolerated well is skim milk. Am I the only one experiencing this? I am really struggling to get my liquids in. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
Raechel 75 Posted December 6, 2016 No mam! I went through the same thing. My surgeon prescribed me with some anti acid medication and told me that would help. It has subsided a bit but I noticed with Water it still happens. He said it completely normal. Sent from my SM-G935T using the BariatricPal App
DebiW 45 Posted December 6, 2016 Thanks Raechel, I still take my anti acid daily but it doesn't help. Glad to know that I am not alone. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

minle360 6 Posted December 10, 2016 Hi DebiW Curious what the pain is like and where? Asking because I was getting this pain on my left side right under my rib cage. To the point where it wasn't just uncomfortable or mild pain, but I was doubled over sometimes. The only thing that helps (it still happens sometimes but not as frequently) is an ice pack or lying down (if I'm sitting or standing) or walking if I'm lying down. I finally figured out mine has to do with fluids but I do have pain from eating or the digesting part. No one at my doctor's office said this was normal. Wasn't until I started reading here that I learned others had/have it too (though not sure it is the same as what I am dealing with.) It's all a journey and I keep telling myself. "yes. this too shall pass." I hope you feel better soon.
